Authenticity and musical genres: value and distinction as the forms of understanding of the audio cultures of the youthful universes

Abstract

This article approaches manifestations of popular music as cultural expressionstied with determined communicational environment, materialized in audiocultures and means of popular music circulation. Thus, beyond the sonorousintensity, the volume and the distortion, the devices of hearing, the formats ofstorage and the way of use these devices, they are, also, means of recognition ofthe youthful musical cultures and its differentiation of other standards ofhearing, configuring authenticity strategies, tied with musical genres like rockand roll and electronic music.
