Abstract

We adopted the JK decision, in June of 1959, "to breach relations"with the IMF, as element to be tested in this present work. Certainthat we would find, at this moment in the Brazilian history, ananalytical snippet that would make it possible for us to follow upthe process of relations of Brazil with the IMF, new elements on thesubject were certified during the development of the analysis of thespeeches from the involved actors.
