Caminhos e enfrentamentos de uma antropóloga urbana

Abstract

This paper seeks to honor the anthropologist Márcia Regina daCosta, stressing three interconnected aspects of her academiccareer which were: 1) as a professor inside the classroom; 2) as acoordinator of the Daily Studies and Urban Culture Core Group; 3)as an intellectual whose path this text brings out, indicating thetheoretical contributions for urban anthropology. At last, this textpresents a bibliography summary including some of the main workof the author.
