O sonho na sociedade contemporânea: juventude e futebol

Abstract

I analysed the process of formation of the football player in the stateof São Paulo, precisely in the region of the “vale do Paraíbapaulista”, from the reading of what the young persons inserted inthe search by the success of the professional sporting run werecalling of dream. The inquiry was centralized in the redemption ofthe reports and in the constitution of the imaginary one of threeinterviewed ones, in the period from 1997 to 2001, in spite of thefact that the objective pointed to the elements what the dreamcomposes in the contemporary society, taking as a reference themeaning and the sense attributed in the search of the success inthis profession. I point that the young person respects thepersistence, the recognition, the economical thing, the relation withthe feminine universe and the projection midiática of the player well succeeded like essential marks to the success of his projection and dream.
