Justiceiros: agentes e vítimas da violência?

Abstract

This article is the result of the work of dissertation submitted in2000 with the title "Justiceiros: blind faith, amolada knife" in thePUC-SP, by the department of Anthropology. The original idea is tokeep the discussion proposal in the drafting of the dissertationwhere go by debates about the phenomenon justiceiro. The action isjust the typically characterized as urban and marks the 1980 in thecity of Sao Paulo. For the article – Justiceiros: agents and victims ofviolence? –, I propose the rescue of an interview with Rivinha, andthe surrounding discussion of the issues raised in this interview:violence, work and justiceiro.
