Abstract

This article intends to bring up a balance of the intellectual production on “Political Communication in Brazil”. This field ofknowledge is a new one, having its beginning by 1985, the momentof the Brazilian re-democratization after 21 years of militarydictatorship. It is a research field that is increasing due to both thegrowing importance of mass media in the contemporary society, andthe incorporation of studies and research institutions toward thistheme.
