Abstract

The collage, technique proper of movements such as Dada andsurrealism, emerges as a counterpoint to the monolithic andsuperior idea of the Western Culture of the first half of the 20thCentury. This period has inaugurated a new direction of thought andhas opened space for ways to break the unity into pieces andrecompose it in new arrangements in the human sciences andphilosophy. This has applied particularly to the structuralanthropology of Claude Lévi-Strauss, composing an undifferentiatedunion between science and art.
