Relativismo e racismo

Abstract

In this article, I initially discuss the importance that relativistthought acquired at its birth in USA at the beginning of the 20thcentury, in opposition to social darwinism. But my main objective isto show that relativism is one of the constitutive elements in theracial democracy myth. The fact that relativism is part of theManifest against Quotas, produced by some Brazilian intellectuals inthe initial years of the 21st century, more precisely on May 30th 2006,in Rio de Janeiro, is evidence that it is embedded in that myth.
