This article pays tribute to Edgar Morin, celebrating his centenary. At the age of 100, Morin continues to be a tenacious, integrated, and polyvalent intellectual whose ideas have significantly contributed to the various areas of knowledge. His intellectual
journey, from the construction of critical and self-critical reasoning, had enabled Morin to set the bases for his reflection on The Method, as well as of the various themes that permeate his vast work. Here, we aim to recover the foundations of his thoughts, providing other parameters for free-thinking about the world and Mankind, on what is complex: life, destiny, and the possibilities for the realization of his humanity. His ideas allow the opportunity of building a policy for civilization, providing society with
the full development of human and technical capabilities. Through the search for reconnection and complexity, he nourishes new reasoning based on a reformulated
humanism due to the uncertainties inherent in the possibilities of a better future for our destination community. Through his permanent commitment between scientific culture and the culture of the humanities, as a premise for training, the centenary Edgar Morin
continues to carry out the task of calling out new generations to resist, proposing a policy of civilization to form: planetary, solidary, and ethical citizens.
