Violence against women in Brazil 2021

This article discusses the event promoted by the Center for Studies and Research in Identity-Metamorphosis entitled “Necropolitics and vulnerabilities in the context of the pandemic”. Givânia Silva, Fe Maidel and Renata Alves problematized the violence suffered by black, quilombola and LGBTQIA+ women in Brazil during the pandemic and their possibilities to reorganize and survive. The intersection of their narratives with the theory of identity as a metamorphosis brought to the agenda joint actions against individualism, the deconstruction and change of an identity rooted in patriarchy, women's resistance and their role in changes, such as public policies.
