Privatizações são parte da realidade da América Latina desde os anos 1990, como foi o caso do Banespa – Banco do Estado de São Paulo, adquirido pelo grupo espanhol Santander. O aproveitamento das potencialidades da empresa privatizada à estratégia da nova organização requereu várias adaptações, entre elas de estrutura. Com objetivo descrever as alterações de estrutura de uma das agências do banco em 2004 – época em que ocorriam várias transformações decorrentes do esforço de transição – o estudo de caso privilegiou o depoimento do gerente geral. A descrição de algumas mudanças permitiu visualizar algumas particularidades do processo, que envolvia adaptações tanto de funcionários quanto de clientes.Metrics
