Abstract

The dossier Quantum Horizons 1 proposes a survey of some important impacts of quantum theory in many sectors of knowledge and technology, quantum computing, cosmology, and new living technologies, such as cultural, epistemological, ontological issues and reaching scientific dissemination. Its purpose is neither to detail one or another specific aspect of quantum theory (although some articles do so); nor does it exhaust any specific perspective of this complex topic. The objective is to explore the most pluralistic impacts and productive developments that quantum theory can have (and in fact has had) in almost all areas of the natural, human sciences, as well as the technosciences.
