Abstract

The present paper proposes a brief discussion on several theoretical contributions on the creative phenomenon that, along time, have been made concerning such rich theme. The aim is to point to our theoretical target which will be based in some assumptions by French philosopher, Henri-Louis Bergson (1859-1941), who alludes to the non-determinist or unpredictable character of creativity that, according to his point of view, accompanies the living process. The philosopher also indicates the vital elan as an impulse or force which moves the development and expansion of the universe, but also moves the creative processes and gives impulse to thought, feeds personal experience, makes work possible, broadens practice and re-inserts in several productions the historical and cultural outlines of any subject.
