Abstract
This article suggests an analysis of the creation processes by the Bahian artist and architect Juraci Dorea who has been dedicating himself to the arts since the 60ies. The study has as object one of his works, the multi faced Projeto Terra (paintings and sculptures produced and fixed in the hinterland and then followed by photos, books, documentaries and videos). As along the years the artist reinvented the project – publishing documents of the process – we will seek to identify in these traces, signs of the memory that acts as raw material for his creation process. For this reason, the methodological approach that was adopted is set on a case study from the perspective of the critique of a semiotic base process that discusses creation as a construction network.
