cartografias intelectuais: políticas do pensamento social

Resumo

O artigo analisa a produção do pensamento social brasileiro entre o século XIX e os anos 1960, com atenção à dinâmica política e social do período. O autor argumenta que as celebradas e estabelecidas interpretações da sociedade brasileira foram construídas em conformidade com posições e ideias das elites dirigentes. O efeito imediato dessa produção de conhecimento foi a construção de uma interpretação que naturalizou perspectivas racistas e oligárquicas, isolando e virtualmente destruindo outras perspectivas intelectuais como a anarquista.

Abstract

The article analyzes the production of the Brazilian social knowledge since the 19th century until the 1960’s and the political and social dynamics within this period. The author stands that the celebrated and established interpretations of the Brazilian society were built reporting elites positions and ideas. The immediate effect of this production of knowledge was the construction of a interpretation that naturalized racist and oligarchic perspectives, isolating and virtually destructing other intellectual perspectives such as the Anarchist’s.
