Paulo-Edgar Resende, grande conhecedor da obra de Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, traz uma leitura fina acerca do anarquista em relação à Revolução Francesa. O que se propunha como o fim da tirania do soberano, não passa de uma transferência de poder e multiplicação do soberano. A potência revolucionária se perde no embuste da Revolução Francesa.
