Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the Chapter IV of the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium by the Bishop of Rome, Pope Francis, from the Ignatian thought structure. As such, how the means of thinking the issue of option for the poor is linked to the discernment of charity, as the way of being and proceeding in Jesuit tradition, according to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
