This text aims to analyze the fundamental concepts that enable debates on gender identity and expression, highlighting their definitions, complexities and social implications. At the same time, it seeks to explore the intrinsic relationship between education and gender, emphasizing the role of education as a strategic space for deconstructing inequalities and promoting values of respect and equity. The study also directs its attention to the essential role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in promoting gender equality, considering their actions within social contexts marked by economic, cultural and political challenges. As NGOs often operate in scenarios of social vulnerability, where gender inequalities are amplified by factors such as poverty, violence, educational exclusion and lack of access to basic rights. In this context, these organizations stand out as agents of transformation, mobilizing resources, promoting awareness campaigns and offering educational and social programs aimed at empowering individuals and communities, providing the invisible or invisible with a place to speak. Their actions not only expand the reach of public policies, but also fill gaps left by the State. To carry out this study, the hypothetical-deductive approach method was adopted, which allows starting from situations previously formulated and tested through a critical analysis of existing literature. Bibliographical research is used as the main research technique, enabling a grounded and contextualized reflection on the issues raised.
