Contemporary displacements of imagination and images

Abstract

The following presentation took place on September 11th, 2017 as my participation in an event organized by the Ethics and Political Philosophy Group and thus it conserves its colloquial form and lingo. My proposal, on that occasion, consisted of inserting and analyzing three differential images, in the form of a point of departure; pushing me away from the image as a simple conceptual picture. At the same time, I made reference to the problematic of image-displacements as “productive deviations” of political resistance to the mechanical repetition. In this way, I sketched certain philosophical contemporary folds that gather or move away from the problematic of images and imagination, making up a dotted line to be selectively filled in.
