Abstract

Our aim is to reflect on the notion of desire from White Nights, a novel by Dostoiévski. It shows several figures of desire (as R. Barthes would say), in particular a relationship between desire and loneliness, desire and hallucination and cunning that are consubstantial to the desire itself. More than choosing is fundamental what is discovered in the desire.
