Abstract

Modern art emphasized the desire for transparency as a critique of the depth of representation; he privileged the lights that would show the truth of art, its autonomy. Contemporary art, elaborating the limits of modern work, affirms the unrepresentable; it has become opaque and even unintelligible, so that the lights are not perceived but the dark - which implies a particular experience activity.
