Abstract

This essay seeks to bring together Jacques Lacan's psychoanalysis, philosophy, and its articulations with health practices, precisely in the hospital institution, highlighting the importance of the dialogical relationship and communication between professional and patient. We bring some clinical clippings that show the possible contributions of philosophy to the clinical profession, without losing sight of the fact that psychoanalysis preconizes the impossibility of saying everything, there is always something that is not being said, making dialogue difficult. Thus, some considerations are pointed out to highlight how Philosophy can be an instrument for the praxis of the psychoanalyst and other health professionals, due to the limiting situations in the hospital each time updated crucial issues for Philosophy, as pain, suffering and death.
