Abstract

With the instruments of philosophy, of religion, the paper approaches spirituality and health. Initially, there is an introduction to the theme of health in the field of philosophy and theology, and then, thinking about the unfolding of spirituality in these areas. Based on this, we resort, above all, to the thought of Paul Tillich and his discreet contributions to the theme of healthy life and, mainly, his interpretation of disease as the threat of being. In the end, despite the realization of oneself for the healing of the being, there are ambiguous aspects of the relationship between health and society thematized to think about an ideal of health.
