Abstract

The intention is to propose a reflection on health education and philosophy, to consider the specificity and perspectives of a Philosophy of Health as a transdisciplinary field of knowledge. In this field, philosophical concepts, reflections, and themes form a theoretical framework for dialogue with the health domain, concerning both the epistemological foundations of the sciences in this area and their practices, including research, bioethics, care, and healthcare assistance. To carry out this work, a literature review was conducted, considering the studies conducted by the Study and Research Group in Philosophy of Health (GEFS) at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), affiliated with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), founded in 2018 within the scope of the Paulista School of Medicine.
