Abstract

Population aging is a multifaceted challenge that impacts areas such as health, economy and quality of life. The integration between geriatrics, gerontology and health philosophy allows for a more comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon. While geriatrics and gerontology work to promote independence, autonomy and identify the care needs of older people; health philosophy contributes an ethical, holistic and patient-centered perspective. In this context, Generative Artificial Intelligence can promote innovative and disruptive approaches to elderly care, while highlighting the need for an integrated and interdisciplinary approach. This integration may result in humanized and effective healthcare for the elderly, even with the dizzying increase in the number and proportion of elderly people in society, addressing the challenges of aging in a more complete and empathetic way.
