The article aims to analyze the concept of time from the philosophical musical perspective of Zuckerkandl in the context of a philosophy of health, bringing this reflection closer to the finitude of the patient in palliative care. By employing Bergson's critique of the quantification of time and emphasizing the importance of conceptualizing it through the phenomenon of duration, Zuckerkandl deconstructs the idea of musical metric from traditional theory, giving rise to a new relationship between time and experience in music. Uniting and comparing temporal concepts, analyzing how painful and complex it is to be aware of nearing finitude, specifically regarding the change in the way one experiences time during illness; it was discussed that music serves as a means to reframe the patient's experience, as it allows for a shift in the way illness time is experienced by connecting the individual to their lived experiences, thereby transforming the experience of finitude.
