Abstract

In recent years, discussions and research have grow about the relevance and intersection between spirituality and Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS), however, reading the articles on the subject highlights the need to explain the concepts involved. The Philosophy oh Health takes on this challenge, promoting dialogue between areas of knowledge and its professionals to think about issues important to Health. In this essay, in dialogue with the Law, we seek to explain the PICS and their legal provision and the concept of spirituality present in the legislation on the subject by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health. We found that, although spirituality is considered as a factor that affects Health and considerations are made about the term, it is not conceptualized in legislation, which is even necessary to substantiate its intersection with PICS.
