Abstract

ABSTRACT Aim: restrospective analysis of patients who went through the urethra dilation program in the Sorocaba´s Conjunto Hospitalar, taking into account the urethra estenose main localizations and their specific causes and prevalence. The program spanned from February 2002 to April 2005. Subjects and Methods: this work was possible through a retrospective study from medical prontuaries and cadastral records from the urethral dilation´s program performed on 115 patients who entered into the program starting February 2002 up to April 2005. Outcomes: in this study the average age of urthrostenosis patients were made known were: meatus with 31 occurrences (25.8%); prostatic urethra, 23 occurrences (19.1%); colon, 22 occurrences (18.33%); navicular fossa, 21 occurrences (17.5%); bulbous urethra, 13 occurrences (10.8%); penile urethra, 6 occurrences (5%) and female urethra 4 occurrences (3.33%).
