Localized scleroderma and its implications on quality of life

Abstract

Scleroderma is a disease of unknown etiology, which affects the connective tissue, is characterized histologically by a change in collagen synthesis with increased deposition, and dermal infiltration and thickening of the skin, asymmetric distribution without involvement of internal organs in this way (localized) of the disease, but can lead, in some cases, important aesthetic and functional impairment of the patient. In our case, it is believed that the disease has already developed completely and now there is an overlap disease of old age, which makes their daily activities and independence.
