ABSTRACT This paper is an experience report from the activities developed by first year students of a Nurse College in a school from a poor neighborhood called Aparecidinha. This intervention is the second edition of the project “Adding efforts to transform” and was called “Movies, popcorn and conversation”. Objectives: promote a greater integration between community members, stimulate reflections about the social reality they live and facilitates the creation of leisure and community organization places. Twenty nine children from the seven grade, mean age 14 years, 18 females were part of the event. First, the movies “Who Moved My Cheese?” and “The vision power” were exhibited and used as the starting point for discussion. After a socialization dynamic was conducted and all meaningful elements and significations were explored. In discourse analysis, it was identified the vision that adverse situations were passive of chance. The importance of academic achievements and citizenship conquer were points elicited by the children. For the nurse students community practice activities regained visibility and the bond between then and the children was strengthened.Downloads
