ABSTRACT Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTPH) appears to be surprisingly frequent and the prognosis it is obscure if it doesn't have adequate treatment. Thromboendarterectomy it is chosen as a treatment when the presence of arterial thrombo is confirmed, with good prognosis. We reported a case of a male patient 52 years old, with dyspnea in the exertion since four months, without clinical characteristics of acute pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The echocardiography showed moderate pulmonary hypertension, and the thorax angioCT developed emboli in the left and right pulmonary arteries, lobar and segmental arteries too, in both sides. Lower limb CT showed thrombo in the right polite vein. Thrombophilia was suggested because of other cases of lower limb thrombosis in the family. Patient was treated with warfarin with success, and after two months the echocardiography and angioCT were normal.Downloads
