Abstract

ABSTRACT Traumatic pseudoaneurysms of the popliteal artery are rare and result from the rupture of the arterial wall with extravasation of blood, which is then restrained by the surrounding tissues. We present a case of a patient who developed a pseudoaneurysm of the popliteal artery after correction of anterior cruciate ligament injury. The patient underwent surgical treatment with clinical improvement in the immediate postoperative period.
