Abstract

The article investigates Michel Foucault's critique of neoliberalism, placing it in the broader project of his “historical ontology of the present” to emphasize the importance that the ontological dimension of neoliberal reflection assumes in the analysis. From some forms of resistance described by the philosopher, it seeks to show, then, how an-archaeological practice draws a subjective movement contrary to neoliberal subjectivity. The article concludes by presenting an-archaeology as a possible and necessary resistance to neoliberalism.
