Football for incarcerated women

The analysis of statistical data from 2000 to 2016 allows the perceiving of an increase in the female incarcerated population. This growth results from the process of development and internationalization of the penal system, which is part of the violence directed to black, poor and young women. Information that would demonstrate the frequency of sports practice in women´s prisons in São Paulo and if it can act as an auxiliary tool in resocialization was researched. Therefore, there was a contemplation of the effectiveness of the rights guaranteed by law and the role of the prisons in the Brazilian society.
