The modernized city: issues related to the urban life, conflicts and memories

Abstract

The contemporary city has been object-subject of several actions, both symbolic and materials. This article aims at dialoging to the social – the stated concrete, objective – world. Which one? The one of the material re-arranging of city spaces that, in turn, makes unfeasible the presence, production and establishment of certain people in some regions of São Paulo city, both, public and private.
