The article aims a dialogue between historical situations with national ideologies, in this case, the situation after the abolition of slavery and the current context of public policy for blacks, with the ideologies of whitening and racial democracy. The fragile black citizens hip achieved with the Golden Law, was not enough for a homogenization of the social contexts between whites and black sin Brazil, the delay in meeting with state policies focus this social group has abound with the racial theories and ideologies since the abolition.
