Activities and language exercises: a reflection about didactic engineering

Abstract

This article introduces the didactic engineering as a particular fi eld oflanguage teaching. It defends a postmodern didactic engineering that linksthe instrumental reason and the use of new technologies of communicationwith the humanist educational reason. Several theoretical conceptionsof the school exercises are discussed in order to show the specifi city ofVygotsky’s learning activities of the didactic sequences.
