Abstract

This work pretends a first approximation to the phonological description of the rromanés from the rrom bolochók gypsy community of Cucuta’s city (Colombia). In order to achieve the objective initially proposed, it will show a brief approach to general characteristics of the language and some sociolinguistic characteristics of the rrom gypsy community of Cúcuta, to subsequently initiate the phonemic analysis, determining the phonos of rromanés bolochók of Cúcuta, according to articulatory parameters. After that is establish the segmental phonemes and their respective allophonic realization; taking as a centrical theory foundation the rules of distinction between the phonemes and their variants proposed by Trubetzkoy. Later some regular phonological processes are presenting through rules of general character. Finally the article concludes with a proposal of alphabet based on a writing of phonological type and the transcription of two variants of the main story of the community.
