O objeto nulo do português brasileiro

Resumen

The null object in Brazilian Portuguese has been the been the topic of several studies, because it shows peculiarities that distinguish it from the null object of other languages, including European Portuguese. The aim of this paper is to discuss the various proposals that have been propose a treatment of the phenomenon that will account for its occurrence in Brazilian Portuguese as well as for the diachronic change that caused the appearance of this type of null object. The paper is largely based on Cyrino (1994)
