Abstract

Introduction: Recent research in France and Brazil demonstrate the possibility of early detection and intervention in cases of infants at risk for the development and psychic from the freudian-lacanian psychoanalytic theory. Objective: Analyze the evolution of a case of risk to development during the early intervention process from the proposed single therapist, sustained in interdisciplinarity. Method: The mother-baby composed by the mother of 42 years old and the boy R. of 24 months, was accompanied in the planned phases for the protocol collection of Risk Indicators in Child Development. In the final evaluation phase of this protocol, R. was conducted to the attendance in early intervention. The evaluation was carried out by observation in session of R. with the primordial caretakers and the therapist. The intervention had as referential the proposal of a single therapist, supported by an interdisciplinary team; it was constructed from the freudian-lacanean referential and from references about structural and instrumental aspects of child development. Results: applying IRDIs it was detected presence of risk to child development. It was noticed that the boy had not built a body image that would sustain the relation with objects, with space, especially in relation to other human being. In addition, he presented little linguistic evolution. Considering the contributions of the psychomotor clinic in terms of transference, and, from the care in early intervention, the boy started to rebuild his familiar place. The body in movement previously understood as the catalyst of developmental disorders is now regarded as the potential space for building a new subjective relation with the world. The possibility of use of language according to the demands of R. also allowed full access to his symbolism and his evolution in the process of language appropriation. Conclusion: The proposal of early intervention of single therapist, supported by an interdisciplinary team was effective and efficient to overcome the structural and the instrumental barriers for the development of R.
