A DIALOGUE BETWEEN PSYCHOLINGUISTICS AND DISCOURSE ANALYSIS: WHAT IS READING?
Keywords:
Reading, Speech Analysis, PsycholinguisticsAbstract
With the interdisciplinary aspect of reading areas in mind, we aim to understand how the concept of reading is theorized from the perspective of different theoretical affiliations: Speech Analysis, and Psycholinguistics. This study, bibliographical in nature, was able to deduce that the notion of reading is polysemic. It also has brought to light that faulty teaching practices remain in place due to the institutionalization and (re)validation of outdated and devaluating concepts of reading. Therefore, when we delve further into the matter, from both theoretical perspectives, the notion of reading as an interactive, complex process of plurality of meanings in a text arises.Downloads
