The number of research works related to written production in universities has been increasing, since a large part of the students have shown difficulties in appropriating the scientific language to develop their work in the academic community. Because of that, the present work, a result of a PhD research, aims to analyze which linguistic resources are used by undergraduate students to build the arguments in the Final Papers. For this, we analyzed two works developed by undergraduate students in Pedagogy and Engineering from a private university in Brazil within the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the Socio-Discursive Interactionism. The analysis procedures focused on the context of production and its internal architecture (textual infrastructure, textualization and enunciative mechanisms). From the analysis results, it was possible to observe that there are several linguistic strategies used by the students which serve as argumentative resource in the production of this textual genre.
