A EXPRESSÃO DE EMOÇÕES: PROPOSTAS TEÓRICAS E QUESTIONAMENTOS

Abstract

In this article, the darwinian, jamesian, cognitive, construtivist and physiological theoretical perspectives on emotions are considered. Furthermore, the possibility of integrating these perspectives from a communicative point of view is also discussed. This kind of discussion is relevant to investigating the way non verbal language is used for expressing emotions. Biological, cognitive and cultural factors are highly implicated in a network of interactions whose implementation derives from the fact that emotions have emerged not only as control mechanisms, but as a way of animal survival perpetuated through socialization andmediating the impulse which comes from the organism and the external factors which influences the way emotions are expressed in nonverbal language.
