O BAILE DE GALA EM “CONFISSÕES DE RALFO”: UMA ANÁLISE SEMIÓTICA

Abstract

This paper aims at analysing the chapter “Relatório conjunto da comissão de psiquiatras convidada a observar o Baile de Gala no Laboratório Existencial Dr. Silvana”, from “Confissões de Ralfo” by Sérgio Sant’Anna, and it based on the Greimasian semiotics. In the focused chapter, a ball takes place in a psychiatric clinic. Ralfo, the main character, wears a madness mask and establishes, in the enunciative scene, an atmosphere of intense lust exploitation. We aim at analysing passional states of subjects involved in the scene and the strategies of manipulation that are processed in the level of enunciation and utterance among Ralfo and the psychiatrists, as well as the values in the base of the text and are questioned by the subject of the enunciation.
