É POSSÍVEL DEFINIR UM CURSO DE INGLÊS INSTRUMENTAL MESMO SEM UTILIZAR “NEEDS ANALYSIS” COMO RECURSO PRÉVIO?
Abstract
Aiming at answering positively the question posed in its title, the present work, part of a wider study, focuses on the discussion of data collected through a structured Questionnaire and a semistructured Interview applied to 2nd grade technical high school students. Therefore, the conclusions herein presented stemmed from a personal reflection on the students’ answers, which seem to indicate that when designing an ESP course for “children or adolescents from the Brazilian educational system” (Bohn, 1988:295) we may face the same information whether departing from a formal Needs Analysis results or empirical/subjective clues.Downloads
