O QUE É LEITURA? A VISÃO DA SEMIÓTICA SOCIAL
Abstract
This paper questions the today’s schools’ theoretical approach to reading, which imposes to pupils the reading of the written code as the only relevant form of representation for the composition of texts. The social semiotics theory (Kress e van Leeuwen, 1996) is used to argue against it. According to this theory, texts are multi-modal constructs; and forms of representation are culturally determined. Analysis of printed materials collected inside a workplace shows the multimodality of forms of representation of texts.Downloads
