The text discusses the debates around the construction of an “inclusive city” having as a stand point-of-view the analyses that came out with the interactions between teachers and teacher educators during meetings at county schools of Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. Based on the political dimension of language pointed by Mey (2000), the concept of praxis defended by Freire (1971) and the idea of damage discussed by Ranciére (1996,) we focus on discourses that “unite/separate” people in their daily urban life during interactions that build up the polis, the dimension of the city in which the political aspects are discussed, placing the citizens in equidistant position in relation to power. The analysis of data shows how the debates in the polis are permeated by the inclusive/excluding discourses.Downloads
