THE POST-METHOD PEDAGOGY AND THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE ITALIAN TEACHER AS THE AUTHOR OF HIS OWN MATERIALS FOR THE TEACHING-LEARNING OF THE TARGET LANGUAGE
Keywords:

This article aims to promote reflections on the importance of the foreign language (FL) teacher to be a professional who elaborates his own language teaching materials, and not just a professional who simply employs, in his/her classes, the textbook and/or other materials produced by others (textbooks authors, pedagogical coordinators, etc.). To achieve this goal, we carried out a case study with a group of beginner students of Italian FL. The research is based on the postmethod pedagogy, according to which, the teacher can and should be his/her own theories author and, even, his/her own teaching materials.
