COLLABORATIVE READING AND WRITING OF MULTIMODAL GENRES: FROM CLASSROOM TO INSTAGRAM

This paper aims at investigating a collaborative reading and writing task which focused on advertising texts, created by English learners. As a theoretical framework, we rely on studies involving multiliteracies, as well as on studies which focus on collaborative reading and writing. This case study reports on data from questionnaires and learning narratives written by seven students from Vocational Technical High School at a federal institute. The data showed that the collaborative production of advertising texts and their publication on Instagram can promote multiliteracy practices.
