Abstract

Speech therapy has several approaches to work with writing. Recognizing the different ways of conceiving language and clinical practices, the objective of this paper was to reflect on the development of a patient´s productions, in a writing project, conducted in a clinical care institution. This work chose Vygotsky (1984) as the theoretical basis. During the construction of the therapy involved in the project, several positive effects were observed. Theoretical reflection includes writing not as a mere acquisition of a technique, but as a fundamental issue in the subject's cultural development. The development of agency and collaboration is also reflected on this article.
